Applications and nominations are invited for the position of founding Director of the Center for Integrative Biomedical Sciences (CIBS) within the Institute for Quantitative Biomedical Sciences (iQBS.org) at Dartmouth College. The goal of this new center is to foster collaborative relationships between quantitative faculty in iQBS and experimental and observational biomedical researchers across different departments, programs and centers at Dartmouth College. The founding Director of CIBS will have a primary appointment in the Department of Genetics at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor, commensurate with experience, and will work closely with the iQBS Director to promote interdisciplinary research, training and education at the interface of bioinformatics, biostatistics, epidemiology and the other biomedical sciences. The ideal candidate will have a track record of cutting-edge NIH-funded research using population genetics to study complex human diseases. Research areas of interest include cancer, cardiovascular disease, global health, health disparities, infectious diseases and neuroscience. Evidence of a research program that bridges the basic biomedical sciences with the clinical sciences will be considered a strength.
